Yesterday was fabulous. After St. Rita’s I went to the new Beer Barrel, where I saw an old high school buddy, Aaron. He used to play soccer with me. I have not really hung around him much lately, but we made a pact to party together sometime soon. Before the Beer Barrel, I was volunteering at St. Rita’s, and like usual I ate with fellow volunteer Joe. The different thing was that he had a former coworker and school teacher, Diane, meet us there. I love to meet new people, and this was no different. I also saw Brian’s wife, Michelle, there, too. It was spectacular, as she lives in Columbus Grove, and I have known her for a long time. Whenever I run into my hometown friends it makes me feel right at home. Weekly I see many people that I know from Columbus Grove, while I am volunteering at the hospital, and it is always a welcoming sight.
I talked with John, on a more i9mportant note, tonight, and Eric is progressing significantly in Columbus at Dodd Hall (The Ohio State University Medical facility… GO BUCKS!) Eric appreciates the Buckeyes ALMOST as much as I, and I might be coincidental that he too is comatose at Dodd Hall. John expressed how rough it is getting on his family. I feel very strongly that Eric will come into complete consciousness soon, and after that happens I bet he will take his improvement from baby steps, what he is taking now (not actual steps, but rate of progression general,) and turn them into giant strides. I’m no Aristotle, so I cannot be certain about my predictions, although the signs point to that happening soon.
The Reds and Celtics both were winners yesterday.
