5/5/2009

I am going out to eat lunch with Mark and Roger from St. Rita's today. We are going to the Mexican restaurant to celebrate the Mexican holiday. The holiday of Cinco De Mayo, The 5th Of May, commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. I am also going to take care of the necessary mailings today. I indeed have a Knights of Columbus meeting tonight... since it is the first Tuesday of May. I wander how Eric is doing? I think I will call John, his dad, later today! Hopeful Eric's OLD sister, Amy, will soon call me. As said before she is a real hoot to talk to. In other news I am somewhat disappointed as I have not spoken with the new friend I made last Tuesday. I thought that it was too good to be true. I might have to fill out a complaint form with my relationship doctor (she knows who she is,) because she informed me that I would talk with my new friend again. Oh well...hopefully our paths will cross again. I am really hoping that Jody (Buzzard) is hanging in there, because it appears that she was taking Eric's condition sort of tough. I wonder where that nickname gets derived from? Her family says that is just her name? In fact, that whole family must be feeling rough. Eric's family reminds me of my own relatives (willing to laugh at any time,) and you know how they say laughter is the best medicine. I think that it is the second best concoction in times consisting of grieving.Prayer is the best and most powerful antidote, I believe.
I just had a song pop into my head that I want to direct to Amy, and I am picturing the seven dwarfs from Snow White singing it; "You are never too old to be young":-). Her telling me she has gray hairs is like a slap in my face, because I was questioning, at one time, if she was older or younger than me. What was I thinking? She is like a fossil to me (heck I am only in my 20's yet:-)!
