5/6/2009

It was an unique experience this morning as I assisted Dad taking down part of the chimney. This chimney is made of brick and mortar, and it went alongside our house from the ground to around eight feet above our roof. e used a fascinating tool of my uncle's ownership. And clay tiles are on the inside. We ran the massive tool on the mortar between each . The heavy duty piece of equipment it is sort of a slow process, but it makes the cleanup easier then breaking the bricks apart with a sledge hammer (which I did the last few rows down by the ground.) It was different from anything I have ever done.
In other news my friend Eric continues to show signs of getting better. At least that is the latest news I heard around noon yesterday from his dad, John. Eric is at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Dodd Hall, in Columbus. I learned that John and Marie are staying in their camper at a campgrounds. Usually people go camping as a form of enjoyment, but I think this is anything but a fun atmosphere.
