5/26/2009

I have a doctors appointment around 10:00 this morning. It is with the internal medicine doctor responsible for dealing with my blood pressure. Labs from my six month checkup were not good. One one of my medications was completely cut, and a three day cycle of stool testing was done. For a week my diet was limited, and I had to be precautions with any citrus foods or red meat. On top of this as a result of testing it was discovered that I am anemic. That explains the tiredness that I tend to experience. I am not overly concerned with what the doctor has to say, but intrigued nonetheless, because there is no fault that I have control of I think. Plus there was no reason to get crazy about my problems until we see what the doctor has to say. For all I know this is all the result of my big car wreck from 11 years ago, which left me comatose for over 10 week s, and we cannot go back in time. Believe me though if somehow we could go back in time, my friend Amy would likely be the first one in line. She would want to go back to my age when she was not ancient. I want to thank Amy for the birthday wishes last week. It is true that 30 sounds like an old guy, but just think... no matter how old I get you will always be MUCH older. If we ever make it out to eat, you should pick up the tab. I hear some places give a significant Golden Buckeye card discount! Thinking of my wrinkly OLD pal Amy makes me think of her brother Eric. Every day I pray for him and his family... even his OLD sister Amy (I hope her eye doctor appointment went well.) I'll have to get an update soon from John.
