Yesterday, I cleaned up a trailer load of bricks and mortar. You see, we took down most of our cement chimney (which has not been used for a few years) last week, but my cousin Luke came over Tuesday, when I was volunteering at the hospital, and finished tearing it down. What I did yesterday was haul the pieces, by trailer, over to where we put the other scrap. Then I took the pieces out of the trailer by hand and threw them on the pile of brick and mortar. Some of these pieces had six or seven bricks fastened together with mortar between them, and I am no body builder. Please do not get me wrong, I try to stay physically healthy, but those chunks were heavy to lift with one hand. But the hardest part about the whole process was backing the trailer into precise location with the garden tractor. I have not had a lot of experience backing and directing farm machinery, like some people I know, but nonetheless I got the job done. It may have taken a few trials and episodes of failure, but it got done. Failure is the first step to success next time. Things may sometimes seem horrible at first glance, but in due time you will find that they are part of God's plan not bad. I am used to trying things again and am better for it!
In other news the Reds won again, and the Celtics look to close their series tonight with the Magic, in Orlando.
