Last night I had a blast, but unfortunate being an Ohioan was not the best. Our Ohio professional basketball team, the Cleveland Cavs, lost the Eastern Conference finals game six last night. That wrapped up the series, and the Orlando Magic advance to face the Lakers in the NBA Finals (commencing Thursday night.) Many people were devastated but not me. I get tired of all the Lebron hysteria, and in a way I am sort of glad it is over for this season. Amateur sports are much more enjoyable to watch than professional I believe. Pro athletes get caught up in the whole money issue, while high school and college athletes play for the integrity of competition. True maybe some are hoping for scholarships or working to gain draft position, which is like playing for money. but by an large competitive and school spirit dominate amateur athletes.
Tonight we are inviting Dad's side of the family over, and it is a Sunday night tradition that was started by Grandma.
