Friday night the game basketball game between Allen East and Columbus Grove boys was postponed. The game was supposed to be at Columbus Grove, and Allen East did not want to travel since it was so cold. It was their call nonetheless. Now the game is rescheduled for February 2, which is a week from next Tuesday. It would have been nice to play against the Mustangs last night though, because I hear their team is not very good but having a down year. It will come at a later time, and with the trials of high school basketball who knows what will happen. Today though basketball at Grove will take an unusual spin The J.V. girls then boys have a home contest against the Leipsic Vikings starting at noon. While the girls and boys varsity squads travel Northward to face the Viking respective Viking teams in the evening. It is a peculiar situation with the yearly tradition running at least three years now. These multi-gender contests are limited exclusively to Leipsic. Who knows why? There is no rhyme or reason, and both schools have to run busses.
