Monday feels rather good, even though I am rather tired. I gathered hickory nuts for a while this morning with Dad. Every once in awhile you come across one with a worm hole in it. Still even cooler, yet more unusual, is a half gnawed away shell with the nut missing. Those come from red-jimmies or squirrels. Living in the country, as opposed to an urban dwelling, leads to much more of wildlife habitat evidence. I am sure there are dis advantages to living in a rural place, if you speak to the city dweller they would be easily noted, but I love living beside wooded area. Sometimes, really most of the time nature is appreciated.
